now have over £100 vouchers and want to get the best value out of them. what has anyone else used them for.

Ive used mine for Blackpool pleasure beach. Would have been £28 each but go it for £7 each. Also Blackpool tower. That was the first time I had used them.I also got FTM 2010 for £15.
I only ever use them in the store if they are going out of date.

My son uses his for airmiles,and a friend used hers to go on holiday.

I use them for weekends away. There are lots of different hotel chains on offer. I am just waiting for some tokens to arrive now. £70 in Tesco tokens gives two nights b&b for two people in a very nice McDonald hotel for instance.
Yes I know that you can get a travel lodge for £19 a room, but it is hardly the same class.
Or if you like magazines, you can get a wide range of annual subscriptions

Linda when you use them for hotels can you still use them against special deals as weve just booked a Mcdonald hotel for Jan but it is a special deal and I suppose this question also applies to holidays abroad

No you can't use the tokens against a special deal. They are just for the getaway breaks,although they are now allowing a wider use in Macdonalds hotels. When you visits the Tesco rewards website it says that they are only valid for two night stays that cover a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but when I spoke to the Macdonalds call centre, they said that they are now taking them for midweek days as well. In fact the letter I got said that in some hotels, they are taking them for single nights as well.

What I normally do is decide when and where I want to go, then ring Macdonalds and ask if they have any Tesco deals for those dates. sometimes they don't because they only have a limited number. They are always really helpful though and will tell you when they do have availability and how much it would be because the different hotels have different rates.. You can't book it then, because you need the tokens,but I go straight on line to Tescos and order the vouchers, they arrive within a couple of days,so I then ring back and make then booking. The vouchers are valid for six months in any case. You can also pay part vouchers and part cash.

The vouchers I ordered two days ago arrived this morning and I have booked two nights in the lakes for £70 instead of £280.

There are lots of other hotel chains on offer as well. I have also used my Tesco vouchers to pay for days out coupons as well. We went to the Tower of London and to Hampton Court for one quarter of the price you would normally have to pay. When you convert your Tesco vouchers to the Days Out Coupons, you just present them at the box office. If the entry fee is less than the coupon value, you don't lose your money, the extra is credited back to your Tesco account. The same applies to changing them to hotel vouchers, if you needed £70 worth of vouchers, but the ones you happen to have add up to more than that, you get the change back.

I use some of mine for membership of the RAC - saves quite a bit.

We used to be able to use them to go to Knowsley Safari Park which was brilliant, but they seem to have withdrawn from there which is a pity.


well worth checking the websites because you may save yourself some money over Christmas with prezzies: magazine subs etc.

It's a waste to just use them as money off tokens at the till when you can do so much with them.
