I believe RAF POW records from WW2 are kept at Kew. Can anyone advise

1. Are they available to view and/or copy?

2. Do I need to make an appointment to view?

Thanks in advance.

There are a lot of records held at Kew and they are all accessible. You need to be able to order and see the original documents while you are there and need a "readers card" to do this.

There is too much to summarise. Have a look at the National Archives website and find the detailed information on what they hold in the "In Depth Research Guides".

I have looked at the POW "Questionnaires". Please email me if you want any more information.

Thanks David. Will get in touch if necessary after I have looked at the National Archives website.

Just a note to complete the previous posting. Found James in the POW index for RAF and in the Questionnaires at Kew.
