I too was very moved, but what really did it for me was when my little boy said "All those soldiers died for me didn't they Mammy?, so that me and my friends can be free."

I now know he understands what it is all about.

I agree I was very moved by the Remembrance Service and have just watched the Cenotaph service.
It is more poignant this year because of all the soldiers nowadays that are getting killed and their family and friends left with the memories.

The sad thing is we do not appear to learn

I too watched it with friends............we all thought it was very moving.
The Soldiers singing "Coming Home" made both us girls cry and their was a tear in my hubs eye too.

Hubs bought me the C.D. yesterday and it is lovely.

It was very moving; and has been presented with great dignity and compassion by Huw Edwards, Richard Baker, and Ralph Reader. I was impressed by Princess Anne's reading.

The Soldiers sang Coming Home and I saw a few men in the audience wiping their eyes as it ended. Faryl Smith's voice just gets better and better but I do wish they would stop putting her in those stupid dresses and flat shoes, she is 14 now (her birthday is two days before mine) surely she could wear something a little less like a kid's old fashioned party dress.
There were so many brave men and women there and I always feel very patriotic and humble when I watch the ceremony and hear the music.
