We used to play

Queenie Queenie who's got the ball,

See I haven't got it and I haven't got it

etc.

The only other ball games we had were Kingasene, and Tapuwae
which were probably only ever played in NZ.

Nebucanetzer,the King of the Jews,
Bought his wife a pair of shoes,
When the shoes began to wear,
Nebucanetzer began to swear,
When the swearing began to stop,
Nebucanetzer bought a shop,
When the shop began to sell,
Nebucanetzer bought a bell,
When the bell began to ring,
Nebucanetzer began to sing,
Doe ray me so fa me ray doe.

I used to love playing two balls but I'm blowed if I can recall any of the rhymes that went with it . One of the best places to play was against the drill hall wall down the alley . As weeks went on more and more balls would get stuck in the guttering. Every now and then we would get my Dads big ladders and get a brave boy to got up and get them all back.........lol

Happy days : ))

I am a Girl Guide
Dressed in blue.
These are the actions I must do
Salute to the King
And bow to the Queen
And turn right round on a lump of string

At my school we did:

Plainsey Mrs Brown, Plainsey Mrs Brown,
Plainsey, Plainsey, Plainsey, Plainsey,
Plainsey Mrs Brown................ Then.....

Dropsey Mrs Brown, Dropsey Mrs Brown etc followed by

Upsey , Overs, Unders etc etc etc ............................

I can still remember the old red brick wall we used to play against.

One on a tractor, two in a car
One on a scooter

While shepherds washed their socks by night, all seated on the ground, a cake of Lifebuoy soap came down ? and soapsuds splashed around.

We did not have TAA over here so it was a long the Motorway.
