Is there something odd going on with facebook at the moment? I have had numerous spam messages from one of my contacts and on going onto the site I find he is unavailable; Anyone else had a problem?

I had somethng similar from a contact - and the link led to a virus link which luckily my antivirus picked up

Ann, I have a problem almost every time I go into Facebook... Kaspersky picks it up... but it takes me ages to root it out and get it sorted... I have now started to delete any invites to anything.... I am getting paranoid!

Thanks for that Keith, that answers my question. Hi Daff, I don't normally have a problem but this must have flared up while I was away and the e mails downloaded as I opened up my PC. I didn't open the emails. I never accept invitations to join things anyway.

I never accept invitations on Facebook, as by doing so you allow goodness knows who to see your prifile. I only stay on there to share photos, and chat with friends.

I don't accept invitations to join in with things on facebook, or accept gifts etc as my son warned me it opens you up to too much rubbish. I don't have time to play all those games and such anyway so just about manage to look in now and then to catch up with friends' news.

O.h. was using it early to see what his sons are up to, they never get in touch so it's the only way he knows what's happening. He has no idea how to use it tho, I had to show him how to send a private message to one of his sons, he would have plastered it all over the show lol
