Last year I was contacted by a Genes member, but before we could exchange data, his daughter informed me he had passed away. So now what? Is the tree locked up for ever and ever???? It's so frustrating, as he left a locked tree on Ancestry as well. Sad too!

Shelly, I am sorry but I had to smile, how will you leave your tree open when the time comes?

Selena, that must be so frustrating for you. I would do as Shelly suggested and contact his daughter again and ask for access to the tree etc. She might be quite interested in being in touch and learning anything you might have that is extra to what her father already noted, now that she has had a little time to grieve.

Good luck
