A father who had been fighting to stop a hospital withdrawing life support from his seriously ill son has dropped his objections.

Hello Kemp:)

Not really a lot you can think about that - the father must have had his reasons for fighting it and now for not fighting it. Poor man.

nobody knows what this is like
until they go through it themselves

each case is different and cant be judged by outsiders

my sympathies with both sides of the family

I think that such a private and agonising situation should never have been in the public domain... it is not for the likes of us, well removed from the event, who may never have been and pray to goodness never will be in such a situation ourselves, to play god and pass judgement, or have any thoughts on it. Not our place at all.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to this poor family.

I know how difficult I found it saying yes to my Mum's life support been switched off even though I knew she had left us days before, it broke me for years after and is still raw now, so I should imagine that for the parents of this little boy it is even more painful more traumatic and the hardest decision they will ever have to make and I hope no-one judges them for it

God bless them both and their little boy
