I have been Googling for ages and ages and found nowt ..

Does anyone here know if there is complications with a woman with A Positive blood group and Partner A rhesus negative ..

i think its only if the mother is neg hun
but not sure

i am A neg hubby O poss first baby was ok
after the birth i was given a needle to stop it affecting my second baby which was born prem

Its the other way round Rosie

If a woman is RH Negative and her partner RH positive, the first pregnancy should have no complications, and if the baby had RH positive blood the mother has to have an anti D injection after the birth to stop the woman producing antibodies if the babies blood may have mixed with hers during the birth

In further pregnancies, if the woman is not treated with an anti D after the first birth, the next pregnancies can result in the baby being seen as an unwanted entity & the mothers cells fight to get rid of it. If not treated the pregnancies can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth

My Mum is Neg and Dad positive and mum had the jab after my sister was born.......no probs with me subsequently xx

stinky i thing its called rhesus sumink..you sometimes need an injection after birth ..so the next baby is ok....its called an anti rhesus injection.
