Hi Patricia,
it IS likely that they will be named on the cert, also you may find a connection with named witnesses

a Tip be careful when offering TWO names for a cert, if spelling of one doesnt match they may not issue the certificate....

Also useful on cert.is the name of the Parish Church and Borough where marriage took place., and if parents were deceased.

It won't tell you who their mums were; just the fathers unless one or both of them are illegitimate.

As Bob says be careful with stating both names (and is BAILY correct or does it have an 'E'?).

Have you found this marriage on FreeBMD?

Yes I have found it on the BMD It says Marriages June 1852. William Baily Pewsey 5a 296a Pope Ellen Pewsey 5a 296a. That is what I am going on.

It is very true about taking notice of witness names. My husband found his mother had a sister who he had no knowledge (she had died before he was born),

But info like that always interest to you tree
