It is blowing a gale here, there is water laying on the road,it is perishing cold and my old dad has gone out in his wheelchair. His mate is with him on the bicycle.

Oh yes,it is fine going out but do they know they are going to have to come back? My dad will be alright with his electric motor but he may have to tow his mate.

How old is your dad Julie Anne?

As you probably know, mine is ninety next week and was sent home from hospital to die two and a half years ago because he was making no progress.

They were not kicking him hard enough!

I must go downstairs and see if he is home now because it is bucketing down!
Good thing he can swim!

Sharron Report 14 Nov 2009 15:54

It's not a scooter,it is a proper old invalid's type wheelchair. He just drives it like a drag-racer.
Wouldn't mind betting he was going through puddles to make a splash.

Just to remind me I am a carer,we have had a power cut so I am having to make contingency plans against the air mattress going down in the night.

It is on again now so let's hope it stays that way.

lmao
sharron, i can just imagine your dad

he sounds like mine

they are still boys at heart arent they,

did he get home after , soaking wet,
bet he kept dry inspite of weather

Sharron

Sharron Report 14 Nov 2009 19:03

Of course the crafty old devil came in dry.
The weather caused power cuts which meant his air mattress deflated.
After a great deal of effort I tracked down a single matress to put on his bed in case of a power cut in the night.

He has decided there will not be a power cut tonight so he does not want it on his bed.
If there is one and his mattress deflates he is not to shout because I won't be lying on iron bars so I don't care.!So there!
