Just done a search in anncestory and noticed that there is a few people who have the same relations as me in the search feild, how do i go about contacting theM

You need to check the date of the post.

Best to click on their name and send a message through GR.

The message will go into the GR members message inbox.

If they are still a member, they can reply to you.

do you mean that you have seen a Family Tree on ancestry that has some names that could match yours?


if it is a Public Family Tree

Click on the name of the tree owner to open the tree

Look towards the top of the screen and you should see Owner:- (name)

Click on the (name)

A box will open which will tell you the name of the tree owner, the date he/she last was active, and to the left Contact

Click on Contact, write your message, and ancestry will send it to him/her through their system.



If it is a Private Member Tree

Click on the name of the tree owner

a box will open that says soemthing like the following:-

Contact this member for more information
The owner of this member tree has chosen to not make this tree publicly viewable. Click the "make connection" button below to contact the tree owner using Ancestry's anonymous Connection Service.

This private tree contains information about:
xxxxxx

You will also find attached to this person

1 sources
3358 people in this member tree
Connect with the owner of this tree


Click on Connect with the owner of this tree.
