Hi Liz, Glad you posted this cos I thought England had switched the seasons (instead of the clocks) when I saw 11 fuzzy ducklings swimming with their Mum in the river in Bourton on the Water 3 weeks ago. It was quite cold that day too. lol

There was a picture in the paper the other day of some baby ducklings swimming in a sink. They too had been hatched early.

Depends a lot on when the ram is put in with the sheep, and when the farmer needs the meat.

Don't worry, you're not going mad Liz, there are lambs that are born in November.

When I lived in North Devon, the farming parents of a friend of mine had sheep & they gave birth in November. Not all lambs are born in the spring.

I did wonder if I was hallucinating yesterday when we drove past a field with lots of very small lambs in it - but they were there again today!

I thought lambs were born in late Winter / Spring?
