Hi CP, do you have the bronze death penny as they called it?

No, his mother (my Grandmother) died just over a year later. Mum was brought up by elder sisters & then step mother, so do not know what happened to that or his medals.

They are very good, i had 1 of my uncles missing from the site, just 30 mins ago i sent them a message asking why, they replied within 10 mins with the link to my missing uncle, they have not yet completed the site, so if you can't find your HERO send them a message they may have him not yet listed.

i would just like to add that i ordered photos from this site. For the small amount they charge it was well worth it. I was really happy with the pics i got, i ordered and paid on line and the pics were emailed to me the next day. I got 2 pics for each order, one, a pic of a close up of their name and the other a pic of the whole memorial.

Good evening all

Thanks to RB I ordered a photo earlier this evening, just checked and it's arrived already I just went for the email copy to start with, and as the photo was a bit blurred they've refunded the cost. I shall now order the other two I found as well.

I have one of the bronze pennies of my Great Uncle Jack, my Nan had it mounted in a frame along with his photo and circumstances of his death for me and it now hangs on my wall, it's a lovely keepsake.

Thanks again RB for the info on that site

what a good idea
for those who are to old or to ill to go
and photogrph the graves themselves

Some branches of The Western Front Association have also photoraphed graves in their localities. For example Gloucestershire has photographed all but 4 graves.
