I have two daily newspapers, each day in the week, and a local on Thursday. On Saturday I have four newspapers, and two on Sunday. I am not saying I read them all, with the exception of the local to make sure I am not in the Obituary's LOL, but I do like my crosswords. Now that the gardening season has done, I like to settled down with the crosswords, particularly when the weather is like it was over last weekend. Helps to keep the brain active, and even my 87yr old Dad does the crossword in his paper to keep his brain alive.

Well my daughter (48 today) and her husband buy newspapers as does my son who is 42. as the news I see on TV, hear on the radio is a duplicate of that in newspapers one is no more fact or fiction than the other I assume!! But newspapers have much more than just news, especially local papers, what about the crossword etc,

While I skip through all the front page stories !

I tend to listen to the news on the radio - to and from work etc.

I haven't read a newspaper for ages ... I'd rather read a good book. At least with a book I'm clear on whether it's fiction or non-fiction!

I do read news on line but I find it much more to concentrate on reading things on the screen, I much prefer to relax to read a newspaper. The other inference was that, because people are not buying papers but reading on line, newspapers will be charging for us to access their papers on line.

I have just read a piece that suggests that my generation (1940s) will be the last one to buy newspapers. Do you think that is true?
