does well,
and hurrys home soon

i know he does training first, and then more training

but it a tough training in marines,
hes 19 tomorrow,
and we have known him since he was in nursery,
theyve grown up together,

Best of luck to him, hope he enjoys the training and stays safe at all times. Your son is going to miss him a lot I expect. My son has friends he has known since preschool - it's nice to see them hold on to friends so long.

My son told me the other day he was so fed up with work he was thinking of joining up but I told him I wouldn't sleep if he did that, think he was just getting stressed out cos his job is so boring and badly paid and they have messed up the bonuses yet again so not paid this month, only the basic wages.
I really don't think I could bear it if he joined up now, it's a such a worry for the parents when these young lads go to Afghanistan or other places like that.

my lad talked about it before he started at uni

i told him 'you join the army and its like your dad with you everyday, could you handle that'
lmao hubbys home in day anyway, and son sees him everyday but he thought about it ,
the army hasnt left hubby, he talks like hes sergent major most days
wehn they were younger he would go thru their rooms and tell um they werent clean/tidy enough sort it or thered be big trouble,

we laugh now but we never used to,
lol

i told son if he joind up he couldnt speak to the boss the way he tells his dad now
