Hi PP Thanks. Yeah She's in a hell of a state, and it makes me sick to the pit of my stomach that anyone could stoop so low.

Sorry Ann. Been on the phone trying to console her.
Whoever found it would see the photo of the kids in the purse.

May very well go into the local paper Ann, as it's on my way home from hers, and if they print the story, it may give the finder food for thought.

My thoughts were, if she is a single parent often there are pieces like this in the paper and people contribute towards the money. Vicky what was she doing carrying all that money in her purse silly girl. If she lost it Sunday it is not going to be handed in now is it? What a shame for the lad. I would still write to the local paper but don't put your name or hers, just write about how disgusting it is to find a purse and not hand it in.

She rang her insurance & she's not covered apparently for personal possessions. She changed her insurance company and just assumed the cover was the same.

sorry to hear this has happened.

if it doesn't turn up, assumng she has household contents insurance, she *might* be able to claim on that.

She must've lost it on Sunday, but didn't realise she had til this morning.
I have rung the supermarket and the police, but nothing has been handed in.

I had thought of that Ann, but she would die of embarrassment.
I feel for her, as she's on her own with the boys.

Get it into the local newspaper Vicky, you never know somebody might have a conscience.

How long ago did your daughter lose her purse? I wonder if someone will hand it in in a day or so.

Also possible it's still in a gutter somewhere or covered in autumn leaves.

Just looking at the hopeful side!

It's awful to lose a lot of money; I once had a handbag stolen from my house when we were all in another room! I didn' t lose much money but it was inconvenient as I had to get new glasses, cancel cards etc.

MY DAUGHTER HAS LOST HER PURSE EITHER IN THE STREET OR IN A SUPERMARKET CARPARK.
THE MOST UPSETTING THING IS, THERE WAS OVER £200 IN IT, THAT WAS FOR HER AUTISTIC SONS LAPTOP FOR HIS XMAS.

I HOPE THE PERSON/PEOPLE WHO FOUND IT CAN LIVE WITH THEIR CONSCIENCE, AS THEY COULDN'T EVEN HAND IT INTO THE POLICE.

SHE IS GUTTED, AS SHE WAS BROUGHT UP TO HAND IN ANYTHING LIKE THIS.
