Good Morning

I would like to download a photo from the internet, then move a small part of a photo of my own onto the downloaded photo. I think this is possible, but I haven't any idea how to do it. Can anybody advise me please?

I am off to bed shortly, if I don't acknowledge any replies until tomorrow evening I'm not being rude, I'm just not online!

Goodnight.

Hi Duncan

You can do it in Photoshop using layers. I can do it so it is not too hard to do. Make the downloaded picture the background layer. Then copy and paste the bit of your photo you want over the top on a new layer. It should create a new layer for you when you paste it.. Then you can move your photo around til you get it in the right place.

Alternately join Family tree forum and there are some experts on there that will probably do it for you if you ask nicely..

Jane you have my full admiration because neither my OH or I have ever been able to master layers. Don't have photoshop now as we didn't get on with it and have not tried this in Corel Paint shop pro but I think you can do it.

Thanks for that Jane, I am actually a member of Family Tree Forum, but having joined I don't think I've ever been on it. Seems a bit naughty to go scavenging on my first visit!

I'll take a look at Photoshop, thank you.
