Vit D jab, cross your fingers for me!

Well folks, yesterday I went to have the Vitamin D injected into my arm, it is supposed to last a year and to help me regain strength and get my hair growing again etc etc! I will be so pleased it I get more energy so I can do more with my life than I have of late.

While I was with the nurse, she told me I was almost out of date for my tetanus jab but I was due to have my flu jab so I had that as well as the vitamin one and have to go and have a tetanus jab another time, as well as a swine flu one if I want it. They have to make up the swine flu in batches of ten or something so they had lots of people in at one go to do them without wastage. If I want to go and have it I will have to wait until such time as they have a batch ready or a spare one over on the same day, and then have the tetanus jab too.
I had my peakflow test for asthma and was told it wasn't too bad, just have to get a refill of my carryround inhaler, which I rarely use. The one I had in my bag was 4 yrs out of date lol so have to get a new one, shows how much I use that!

When I got home a few hours later, o.h. said my doctor had phoned, so now I have to try and contact her to see what she wants, maybe she has finally found out the info I have been asking about re my late daughter's death. I think I need to hear some answers to bring a bit of closure at last so hope she has been able to find out what I wanted to know.

Can you all please wish for many positive results from the D jab so that I can be back to my energetic ways of several years ago, lol
Watch this space!

Oh forgot to say, I heard back from National Savings,as I had complained about the hassle over the delayed cheque before my holiday, and they sent me a nice apologetic letter and another cheque, for £50!!! Said they had listened to my calls trying to track the cheque and could tell it was causing me lots of distress etc
Was well worth making the complaint.

thanks my friends.

I emailed my doctor a little while ago, and then I just sat here and dozed off over the keyboard lol, woke up and found a reply from her so she is a night owl too lol
She has managed to find out that my daughter's notes are non existent, because of the length of time since she was born and died, but she got a form for me to fill in to have a look at my hospital notes in which there might be something, and then I can ask about anything I find in there or about what I remember happening. I have to pick it up when I collect my inhaler prescription. I am sure once I deal with that I will cope better with the loss of my baby. I have the chance to go and speak with the funeral director too about her burial which I didn't attend as I was told parents didn't, it was 1974. MInd you, I have been waiting a year for this info which I realised might help me when I was having those neurolinguistic counselling sessions, remember me being told to go up on a magic carpet and look down etc? Was this time last year and then the chap just stopped the apptmts and left the service. My doctor is lovely but a bit of a procrastinator and has to be nudged a lot, bless her.

Would you Christmas Eve it?

We had a water leak before I went on holiday and then all the water disappeared, but the water people came belatedly to check it out, and said they would monitor the drain. Turns out there was a crack and three men and a digger on a truck and a van arrived at a quarter to 8 this morning, no advance notice and set up right under the bedroom window and proceeded to tear up the road. There are barriers around so o.h. could hardly get the car out for work - it was raining too - and I suppose it's going to be noisy all day. I kept dozing off and being woken by further noise so have come down for a cuppa!
Add to this the fact that my friend who is storing some things in her garage for me (without o.h.'s knowledge) has her moving date suddenly advised yesterday for this coming Monday, and it will be chaos. She is wanting to get things moved during today and the weekend as she is moving in with her very sick mother for the time being, and storing her own stuff, and I can't move my stuff to other storage as o.h. has the car. She had been convinced the sale of her house had fallen through as the woman was taking so long to sign and now it's all systems go in a rush.
If I try to move my things while o.h. is here and I use the car, he will go into meltdown - am praying he works all day tomorrow and will bike to work, I have told him I need the car but not why.

I wish my life wasn't so complicated, it's one step forward two back at the mo!

Liz move to Oz, you wont need the vitamin D shots.

I do hope you find closure and get the results you need. I was lucky as I did know and to have a reason did help. You never forget though.

Gran of Oz, 50% of the population of Oz,including me,are deficient in Vitamin D.My Doctor told me to get 10 minutes of sunshine every day,and to take a cod liver oil capsule daily as well.I've been trying to do this to improve my Vitamin D levels.

Best wishes,

Margot.

Thanks folks!

I think a lot of the problem stems from the information we have been given re sunscreen use. There is now further advice saying don't use sunscreen for the first so many minutes as suns rays need to touch the skin to be of benefit. I did try sitting out for a little while on holiday before I used the suncream but of course if you are rushing to get ready to go on a trip you have to be sure you put sunscreen on before you go.

As always with me, one step forward and two back again today - the men didn't finish the work till after midday so I kept dozing off and then being woken when they did the noisy bits, it was only a metre from the house and bedroom window and despite closing said window, the double glazing seal is shot, so it didn't keep much noise out! it was a leak in the water main so all that water that was coming out a while back and washing away down the drain cos they didn't come out when called, was a waste. I also wonder what it's done to the road underneath, whether it has weakened the surrounding area! There are tiny front lawn areas in front of the houses and a large steel lamppost a metre in the other direction so hope it stays stable or it will come crashing down on this house or the one opposite, depending which side goes first lol

Anyway I slept most of the afternoon to catch up and o.h.plans to bike today so I can have the car, so hope I can get a few hours sleep then get up and move the things before he finishes work, he doesn't know how long he will be at work, as it depends on how a job goes. If he turns up home as I am loading the car, there will be fireworks and my weekend will be hell!

Phew, well I got up earlier than usual and managed to move the items in two car trips, altho I had three lots of neighbours watching, the chap next door and his dad were outside cleaning their cars as always, but I told them not to say anything as I was helping my friend move some things before her house move on Monday and o.h. wouldn't approve (which is true as he would say the car isn't a removal van and she should be more organised - he's not a very nice person in that way) The ones the other side I just said - you haven't seen me doing this, as they know what he is like anyway and the other person was just calling to do some cleaning for her 'stepson' who lives in the house alone now his dad has moved in with the woman. She knows my situation and said Oh are you moving out lol, so I just said, No just giving someone a hand.
I got back well in time before o.h came in from work so felt really relieved and can have a restful day today I hope, unless o.h. finds something else to moan about!
