Dutch. She was upset that Jan had told her his 82 year old terminally ill aunt, had had two men go to her house and tell her they were there to check her bolier. She let them go upstairs where they spent a couple of minutes before coming down to tell her they would have to come back and do some work on it. Later she got a phone call from someone saying it was her bank and could she confirm the pin number , which she did. Of course it was the men who had been in her house and they took 650 euros from her bank, (they had took her bank cards. They also took 50 euros from her house.
How low can people go?

Poor old lady, how awful. Shows it's not just in the UK these things happen.
What about those idiots in Holland who stole a lot of money recently, some of them were from Liverpool, they died as they crashed the getaway car later on!

I hope something bad happens to the lowlife who stole from Jan's aunt.

Our Morning Paper headlines:
Judge gets tough on violence.

About the sickening degrees and what some people will do amounting in some cases to sheer sadism.
A victim of home invasion forced at gunpoint to sit on his own electri stove while the elements were turned on, in order to persuade him to reveal the PIN number of his Eftpos card. Another victim was bound, gagged, blindfolded, and then had a chainsaw started and held to the back of his neck until the teeth bit into his skin. (he had originally supplied a false pin number but gave in when subjected to this.

These are probably drug related crimes - 'P' has been the culprit in a lot of the crimes here in NZ.

That's how low some people will go - and like you Liz I think they should have similar treatment given to them rather than four or five years in Jail lazing around with their mates.

Joyce told me about Jans aunt this morning, I am sickened and hope the scum who did it are caught and punished.
As for the other stories...... I too am speechless, even in my worst imagination I couldn't think of things like these.

Caz xx

ps Joyce says she can't get online because Anns sons computer has a virus.

Whilst I am deeply sorry for Jan's aunt and anyone else who has been subjected to any kind of abuse, I find some of the comments on this thread far too distressing. We are all aware of the horrors which occur in life...do we have to have it spelled out for us? Just my opinion. BC

I agree with BC; sorry.

I know awful things happen in this world but I get too upset if I read about some of them.
