can I export a copy of my tree on anncestory into genes does anyone know?

Yes you can,

But you will lose all you have in Genes as it over rides it.

but how do you save your tree in anncestary to your computer so you can import it into genes?

Go to your home page on Ancestry. Click on ‘Help’ along the top line. Type in ‘Download GEDCOM’ in the Keyword box. A list appears. The 3rd listed is ** How to download your personal member family tree**

If that doesn’t help, then give them a ring on their help line. 0800 404 9723

Once it is saved on your computer, you can then upload it to GR, but I suspect the census details and of course photos would be lost. Never tried it myself so not too sure how it would look.
