Do you have an off line FH tree programme?

Rather than print off the tree in one go, how about just doing the direct ancestors, and stick the sheets of paper together?

You could then do separate ones for each generation so that you can show siblings, with named parents and select a different colour for the direct line person you are following.

You could also go over the 'linking line' in a bold colour so it is easier to follow.

if you want to give it as a present, then get on to Ron (member here) at genealogyprinters.com and ask for a price - you just send him yer gedcom and he sends back a beautifully printed tree :-)
