when they been flooded out of their homes,
obviously they rescue their pets too but you never see anyone with dogs or cats at rescue centres

If we were flooded out, our 3 dogs would be the first to be rescued, after which they would live with our daughter until normality was restored.

Only hope pets caught up in the Cockermouth floods are all safe and being cared for somewhere.

When my niece ,baby and OH were flooded out in Tewkesbury, they were rescued from their top window by the fire Brigade. They were lowered on to a trailer on the back of a tractor. They got their Labrador out at the same time but said there was no room for the 2 cats and tortoise in his tank. They left food and litter tray.and the next day waded about half a mile through the water to get them out Had to carry them on their shoulders in baskets .They stayed at my sisters for a few days and then got a rented house which they lived in for 18 months before going back to their. house. They lost everything, and had just totally finished refurbishing the whole place !!

I wonder too about the farm and wild animals caught up in this disaster. Where is there for them to go?

Hopefully some high ground Jean.I don't like to think about them as it makes me upset ,knowing there is nothing I can do .I hate the picture they keep showing on the news with those sheep stranded on a little hillock.
