My daughter found 2 horses wandering on Saturday 6 am, Managed to get them into her garden then tried to contact the R.S.P.C..A She was told no one availible all in county Durham. I hope they were rescuing pets and farm animals. We however had a nightmare of a time trying to trace the owner of the horses. Eventually help from my friend from SYSSR Alison and the pet ambulance (Rotherham and district) great chap who scanned them and traced the owner came to my daughters rescue. It seems that some mindless YOB had stolen their field gate. However it does make you wonder about the R.S.P.C.A. surely they have emergency officers in each area. What if the horses had been badly injured and or etc etc. On a lighter note phone call from my daughter.. My garden is trashed. Well what did she expect? Elaine.

Hmm yes, horses are by nature not delicate footed!!! Maybe the owner of the horses could offer your daughter some help to get her garden sorted.

I have often tried to contact the rspca over the years when I have found injured creatures and never been lucky, always had to try other animal rescue people with better results.

Horses are very valuable animals, I am sure the owners must have insurance that would cover the damage to the garden. What if they had caused a road traffic accident and someone had been killed or injured and the horses too. So irresponsible of someone to steal the gate.
