That's because prison isn't punishment, it's apparently rehabilitation these days. Heads will roll over that I'm sure.

That said, where I used to live, a lad held his girlfriend hostage with a knife at her throat a few years back. He was put in prison, but visited by another girl. He married the second girl, and was allowed on home leave for a weekend. He murdered her, stabbed her to death in her bed, while her little boy slept in the next room.

He won't see the outside again now, but it's a pity they didn't realise that holding someone hostage with a knife at her throat makes someone dangerous, therefore shouldn't be allowed out unsupervised in the first place, whatever the reason.

Getting them back into society,so they can cope with outside world,,home leave only happens when they nearing the end of sentance,they are still tagged,,,,,,,
