any suggestions please.................
I have been try to get certificates for my Gr-Grandparents without any success.
the GRO have been unable to find anything,
the Church where they had their children baptized ( and lived close to before and after they married )
have no records,
they advised me to contact the Pro Cathedral for records pre 1925,
I have contacted the Pro Cathedral and they also have no records for them.
This has been going on for years and I really don't have any idea what to do next.......Help.......Please......

Marriage of Peter Graham & Ellien ? c1900
Birth of John Berney c1871
Marriage of John Berney & Ellen ? c1891
( Ellen would have been about 16 years old in 1891 )

I know next to nothing about Irish records but I believe with the troubles in 1920's that some were destroyed in fire.
Put this on tips there is quite a lot of useful info re Ireland on there. I think Teresa has put up a thread re advice on Irish records.

I think the records of my fathers birth could have been destroyed in the fire
I have never been able to find them.

the one below has always felt right but I can't prove anything,
i could do with the marriage cert for his parents names.....Ahhhh

BM...I have found the John Augustus Bernie born 1870 ......his father is John Bernie and Mother is Bridget Kearney...soooooo....is that any good to you?.. BCXX.

Next time I am in Dublin I will have another search for you.

I don't know if its the correct person but its the only one that I can find that a possible,
you know when you can't see the wood for the trees anymore,
well that's where i am at the moment,if someone ask me my name id have to phone a friend....lol
