I dont know if it can be wireless, but the Canon Pixma is a good alround machine and uses the cheaper inks well.

Do your research before you choose. Don't buy a printer which will end up costing you it's purchase price in inks within a couple of months. Make certain you are able to buy the compatible inks. Some new printer's don't appear to have that option.

I really like my printer but it costs the earth in ink and uses up colour even while you aren't printing in colour. Yes believe it!! To quote the manufacturer in answer to my query, "the printer puts down a tint of yellow on every page before it prints in black to make the black printing look shiny."

I wanted to know why I'd used up all my coloured inks without ever printing anything in colour. I now leave the empty coloured cartridges in the printer and just use the black ink. I am seriouly thinking of returning to my little old black print only printer. Unless you are going to print lots and lots in colour and are prepared to pay for it, consider your options very carefully.

OH suggests you buy the magazine computer active which has hardware listed in it, that could give you an idea of what to buy.

Any of the Epson range is your best bet, cheap compatibles no problem, just over £1 each on ebay. If it's cheap carts you want don't buy Brother, Lexmark or HP, their carts are very dear.

My first printer was an Epson Stylus C65. It has separate colour cartridges which could be refilled, cheaper than buying new cartridges. The printer was a bit on the slow side.

I then bought a scanner/copier/printer, Epson stylus CX8300. Again, separate colour cartridges, but the place I got the others refilled says they cant refill them (I think it might be Epson that forbid it?). It is faster at printing than the other.

I still have the original printer which is handy if I am running low on a colour on the new printer.
