You will probably have heard this before!

An old lady had a visit from the vicar. He asked her if she ever thought about Hell and the Hereafter!

Oh yes she said, I think about it often. I think in the kitchen, I go to the bedroom and I think, I go to the bathroom and I think...... I think and I think, what the hell am I here after!

lol

I am having lots of senior moments recently, think it is the stress and the tiredness. Vit D doesn't seem to have done much for me yet.

Yesterday afternoon I went to a local Christmas fete. Bought a hyacinth in one of those glass jars where you just put water in, the bulb is doing well, long roots to the bottom of the glass and a green shoot showing. As we were about to leave, the fair was coming to an end, I stood the glass and bulb in my handbag propped upright by my purse. I completely forgot the silly sales woman had filled the jar up to the bottom of the bulb, don't know why she did that, should have only put an inch of water in to be topped up at home! Walked to the car and wondered why my skirt and the bottom of my fabric bag was wet, sat there getting wetter and wetter and suddenly realised the jar had tipped up, no water left in it but everything in my bag, phone, credit cards, tissues, etc etc etc all soggy, have it all spread out on paper in front of the gas fire to dry out!
Oh but in a raffle we did win an Asda Dundee Cake which I will enjoy over Christmas as o.h. doesn't like fruit cake and can't have it now anyway with being diabetic, and my son doesn't like it either lol

Purple, dont deny him the occasional piece of cake if his sugar is low. I make a fruit cake without sugar and to us it is quite palatable. Its not meant to be a penance! Keep some treats for the times he has a low sugar, thats the only time I allow myself a biscuit, when I am below 4, but OH eats them when he knows he is going to be very active.

~~ waves to everyone :))

Keith, with my underactive thyroid I forget things all the time, that's why I say I'm dippy lol. I can go upstairs for something and by the time I get there I've forgotten what I need.

Went to scan a picture last night to show a friend, looked at the scanner and forgot how to do it. This morning I remembered only it's not connected to the computer!

Jean, I wouldn't really be that mean - he doesn't like fruit cake or Christmas pud so I have to buy individual puds and he used to have a chocolate one or sticky toffee. I will leave him to buy what he thinks he can have this year! I usually buy one of those small iced Christmas cakes as not much point making one for myself, and my son doesn't eat fruit cake either.

Used to love helping Mum make and ice the cakes etc at Christmas and I did used to make a light fruit cake which my son would help with and help ice, and he would eat a bit of that, but now he is on a health kick in that he rarely eats cakes, biscuits etc and uses weights at home too. He hated the photographs we had taken when we went on holiday in 2007 - it was only puppy fat - but since then has been trying to eat less sweet and fatty things.

What the heck is going on with this thread lol?

I told my lad it's drink that adds the weight but he doesn't drink much I suppose in comparison to some lads and lasses, he only goes out on a Saturday evening most weeks due to lack of funds!
