Oops hi ladies, sorry hadnt realised I had more replies. Thankyou for thinking of my little one. We presume it was the bubble bath as she didnt eat anything unusual, but cant think of what else it could be. Yes, shes actually 70% better thank goodness, its taken a while but shes getting there. Im so glad (well obviously I would be but you know what I mean), she was itching from head to toe and her temperature was sky high.....but tonight shes so much better and has been happy :-) |

I hope that the little one is feeling better today, My grandson (also aged 3) came home from his other grandmother's with a bright red face, and it turned out that his aunt had washed his face and hands with baby soap. |

Hope you all don't mind me saying my pennyworth. When one of my grandsons was a toddler,he sometimes had an asthma attack after a sleepover at my house. |

My daughter once had a reaction to my SIL's dog and the Doc prescribed Piriton and it took a while to kick in, over night if I remember rightly, and we gave her Calpol as well, mainly to settle and calm her off to sleep |

Aww bless her, seems like the Piriton the doctor prescribed is doing the trick. I hope the itching has eased for her. It should start fading by morning. |

Lordy, if I'd known a simple post would get heated I wouldnt have asked. It seems everything has to turn into an argument on here nowdays. Thankyou ladies for your advice, so many replies I wont name you all individually but I do appreciate it! Theresa, many thanks. She's finally fallen asleep, think her daddy coming home has calmed her down a bit, the rash and spots are as bad as ever but hopefully tomorrow may ease things up a bit. Only asked peoples advice as my 3 kids are usually so healthy they never set foot in a doctors let alone the hospital, so I feel a bit thrown in at the deep end....they dont even get flu! Just wondered if there was anything I was missing. But thanks ladies xxxxxxx |

Is there anything she might have eaten that could have caused the rash? Strawberries? |

I feel for you, Romany, it's very distressing watchng a small child suffering, and being unable to do anything instantly to relieve them. |

AW now, please stop... we had a worried mum, who took her littlie to the doctor, got prescribed stuff... and then asked other people how long before her little one would feel better, and until the medicine began to take effect was there anything else at all she could do to ease it, as like most mums, she couldn't bear to see her baby hurting... even though she knew it would ease.... eventually, like, when would *eventually* be? |
