I am not allowed to tell anyone in the 'real' world as it is early days. Our daughter told us tonight that she is pregnant! This will be her first baby and our second grandchild.

That will be two grandchildren and both born in wedlock. We're doing better than the ancestors at this rate.

I need a drink now!

Thank you my dear friends.

It's so good to be able to tell someone. I am like a cat on hot bricks.

I'd only just put the knitting patterns away.

Daughter also hinted that our other daughter may be thinking of a baby, too (35 and worried about fertility).

Oh, help!

Thank you for all your good wishes.

It will be an August baby so a long wait!

I will start to crochet a shawl as soon as I dig out the crochet hook and wool. It will make me feel grannyish again.

It's funny, but I wasn't half so excited when my son's baby was on the way; perhaps it's because she's the youngest.

I just wish she lived in our town, still.

Thank you Carol

I still think of our youngest as my baby and she is nearly 29!

I can't wait to see her on Christmas Eve.

What wonderful news! My two daughters had been trying for 6 years and tried a chinese herbalist. It got too expensive so they stopped going. 3 months later they were both pregnant! They gave birth within two days of each other, two months after my son's wife had given birth! I've gone from 1 granddaughter of ten, a grandson of 16 months, and a stepgrandson of ten, and stepgranddaughter of 14, to 7 grandchildren in 18 months - it's magic. I love every minute of it. Enjoy the excitement (and secrecy for a while), there's nothing like it.

Many regards,

Jenny.
