I'm on one of my *use up the cheap veg* missions today and wondered if anyone had any good recipe ideas as to how I can use Red Cabbage.?

I'd like to pickle some too ........and I've looked online but they all seem to be a bit confusing. I'm a complete novice and any advice would be gratefully received xx

Happy cooking…. Oh, and pickling vinegar can be bought ready made, so to speak……. Especially this time of year.,….. and you could always try pickling your own onions for Christmas!

Love

Yep it was the pickling vinegar I was having problems with !!! I didn't realise you could get it already prepared.....I'll get some from Asda tomorrow because the making of it from scratch was waaaaaaaaay too complicated for me and also dead expensive with all the spices etc they wanted added in the online recipes !!!

The cabbage is in the salt now......getting nicely prepared....

I'm also going to try the pork, apple and redcabbage recipe for dinner tomorrow....

AND I'm going to attempt an apple crumble.
*gulps*

Thanks again everyone for your help !!! xx
