It is many years since I read any of Danielle Steel's work. At that time I quite enjoyed her books. I am now about half way through 'Echoes' lent to me by a friend.

I have no arguement with the subject matter. However, I find her style of writing and expression so very trite and childish.

Has she changed her style ..... or am I just getting a cantankerous old b*****? I am interested in your comments.

I think you have outgrown her style. I used to love her books but like you i find them too young now .probably suited to the younger gal who is still in a romantic bloom!!! lol

I don't think she has changed her style, I now only ever read her if I pick up one of hers on holiday because I too have outgrown them. I think it may be to do with the fact that there are so many better authors around nowadays.

Well, thank goodness it isn't just me. Those of you who have replied thus far, I look on as trusted friends who tell it as it is.
