Has anyone had a complete makeover - makeup, hair style & colour, dressing style?? Has it made a difference? Do you feel better?

I am sick of 'me' as I have been for 60 odd years.

I'd be worried it wouldnt work! Have changed hairstyle many times, but still seem to look the same old scruff!

I think a new hair style and / or colour makes you feel good. But wouldn't it be great to be made over by Gok, or Trinny and Suzanna.

I'd like to be given chance to pick someone out on a High St. and have the money to dress them up and have a makeup artist do their makeup, and hair how I say! I wonder if I could do as good a job as the ones we see on TV.

Well here's one I prepared earlier - 1998 in fact:

Frankenstein

Driving to work with Radio 4
I heard the news I’ve been waiting for.
Possibly shades of Frankenstein
But a body beautiful could soon be mine.

They must be bored with curing the ill
And long operations are run of the mill.
Whole body transplants they now want to do.
Move over people, I’m first in the queue.

So, goodbye to knees that are frighteningly weird.
Farewell to the hips that never appeared.
The tum’s still flat, but so are the boobs
The arms look like empty kitchen-roll tubes.

And the cost of replacing this ageing old mess?
Well, I’d qualify free on the NHS.
Let’s face it, this body of mine’s had its day.
I’ll just keep one hand, to wave it away.

Oh yes, I would love Gok to sort me out lol but not on the tv where all is bared for the world to see!

O.h. found a photo he had taken of me from 2003 and put it on as a screensaver - it was the year I moved in here full time and my heavens, he has aged me since then! ( well living with him has!) Except for the specs which were up to date then but look huge now lol, I think I looked ok but now here I am 6 yrs later and I look and feel 100!

Oh for a magic wand, would magic miseryguts off the face of the earth for starters and then would start making myself look younger and firmer again lol
