I live in Norwich, as most of you know. My MP is Charles Clarke. He has sent us both a letter this morning asking us what we want him to prioritise as our MP. OK fair enough, first time he's ever asked us that...BUT....


Why, when he lives in Norfolk when he's not claiming for a second home in London, did the letters come from Northumberland?

Well, TW, I hope you will ask him that question when you tell him what he should prioritise ( I DO dislike that word!) BCXX

Gawd knows why the letters came from Northumberland , it makes no sense .

Amanda, I agree, it's absolutely awful, and totally out of place there, even if it is outside MacDonalds LOL. I don' t know of anyone who likes it. Might have been better placed at the hospital!

I was just thinking, maybe they were posted from where they were printed, but that doesn't make it any better. There are plenty of printers in and around his own constituency, and as one major printer, Jarrolds, has closed down, you'd think he'd support local businesses better.

Hmmm, I feel a letter coming on...

LOL......I suppose the hospital would have been a better spot for it.....LOL

How long has it been there ? I might Google and see if I can find anything out about it.

About a year I think Amanda. Maybe a bit longer. I can't remember why they were put there, but I think they were done by local sculptors, probably something to do with the UEA.

I shall ruminate on said letter while I do the hoovering, then compose it this afternoon, to send back with the little questionnaire. Hmmmm

From what I can gather the Brian and Eye ( never saw the eye ....lol ) is in honour of Sir Thomas Browne ( a medical man ) . Made by artists Anne and Patrick Poirier . ........sorry ..... even with knowing a bit of the back ground I still can't say I think any better of it.........it's ghastly and that is that .

Defintely better placed at the hospital LOL
