...for Christmas. I was hoovering (sorry) at lunchtime, and the blinky thing died on me before I hardly got any of the front room done! Motor burned out.

So I had to go off to Argos and get another one.

On the upside, it's an upright which I much prefer, and my carpets are cleaner than they've ever been, in about a quarter of the time it took with the Dyson cylinder thingy.

I like upright's better, at least you can see where it is instead of dragging it along.
I think the cylinder ones make some carpets bobbly anyway.

Marion (who has had a Dyson upright for 10 yrs)

I've always preferred upright VACUUM CLEANERS *glares at Marion*, much less work involved. Besides, I'm tall and the pipes are never long enough so I have to bend while cleaning with a cylinder. Not good for the back LOL.

I did like my Dyson cylinder though, it was good while it lasted, or so I thought until the carpets got the once-over with the new one lol

It is where Hagar sits, believe me. I've never known anyone be so messy with his tobacco...If I could filter it out of the dust after hoovering he'd have enough for another twenty roll-ups!
