If you do buy one, take out warrenty or at least enquire at time of purchase.. Son had his for 7 months when he got the ring of death on his. A problem we now know as common
All his mates ones went wrong at one time or another. Lucky we still had recipt and Game exchanged it for another. Once its a year old, you have to pay for repairs unless under warrenty. Game would not let us take out the warrenty incase anything else went wrong after the first fault. they said we had to take it out at time of purchase, so if this one sods up, it looks like he will have to buy a new one :o(((

Is that for the Playstation or X box

We had a lot of problems when the playstation 2 came out something was going wrong with it just after the warranty ran up, im sure the one we have now was the 3rd one

OH got the red ring of death on his.......so we googled for cures ........

This sounded totally ridiculous but we'd tried everything else...........He was told to wrap the xbox in a few layers of towels while it was plugged in so it overheated. ...think it was for about 10 minutes. Then we switched it off....then on again and voila.......all mended.

Apparently doing that rewelds the connections again.xx

Want to show Beta Male, Muffys remedy for the ring of death. Fingers crossed, his has been fine for at least a year, but his mate is currently having withdrawal symptoms.

I can only say it worked for OH about a year ago and has had no problems with it since.

X Box 360

X box 360 all day long, the ring of death has been sorted i believe as my bro works for x box in portsmouth, Got both but i still prefer the Wii lol

But if they want to play games 'online' PS3 will pick up siganl from router, but apparently XBox doesn't, so a cable needs to run along the floor to box?

we have PS3 that goes on line remote but friends XBox apparently can't do that so they have a cable running from lounge all the way up the stairs, can't be doing with that myself
