Hi S'no~angel

thanks for your advice,
my daughter has gone home now and thankfully taken her laptop back with her,
I don't really know what she thought I could do,she should know by now I can break or make things worse,
its second nature to me...lol

Hi Blue I hate it when that happens am afraid its system restore to checkpoint when last ok I don't think the vista programme will matter I think thats only if restoring to default or factory setting which personally I wouldn't advise the other way is enter the set up menu but I wouldn't advise that either unless guided by the tech guy it could get messy hope you sort it soon x

Evening Budgie

We have had a look at System Restore,my daughters laptop will only allow her to restore back to 3rd Dec,she has not got a box to tick for the option of going back ant further,
my Husbands has a box to tick and it will allow him to restore back to November, both the laptops are using Vista.

Tomorrow I will ring the "Computer Man " and see if he will have a look for us.

Thanks for trying help.

Thanks for replying. Yes, but the restore will only go back a couple of days and it wasn't working a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if I can do anything further back??
