Our 'Easter' cactus flowered profusely two months ago!!
BUT
The Two xmas ones all ready to be on time this year....
Fuchsias in the garden flowering beautifully yet not a flower or hardly any foliage all summer..
Global warming??? mmmm

I have a lovely salmon coloured one just about to break it's buds open :O)


and all my fuschia's are still in full leave and flower lol

Hi Anita,,
Xmas Cactus are so lovely I think..
Our 'mother' plant is abour 28 yrs old now and was 3 leaves that a really good old neighbour gave me..The 'easter' one was Monts Mums. the little one is off the 'mother' one.. I lost 3 others this year.. Struggled to keep these 3 going..
They are supposed to be easy to keep like spider plants!!! lol

Loads of flowers 'out of season' in gardens around here.

In the past week I've seen ....

Fuschia, ...geraniums, ..alysom,..., love-in-the-mist, ..marigolds, ...snap-dragons, ...hydrangeas, ...roses, ...hebe, ... and lots more.
This afternoon I noticed quite a few red clover flowers on a lawn.

makes you think whats going on when so many flowering out of season. Maybe it's time to adjust the calendar?
