There is a family on the 1841 census with the surname Balls...they have named their son Golden! ,had to share that one!

nice one - if you look on Tips Board there is a thread running on unusal names - I've just added Polly Parrot, Ruby Ring and Pearl Ring - some of them are hilarious - take a look if you want a laugh and add yours to the list - Golden Balls that is!!!!

Great,

After living with the maiden name of Ball and all the jokes it came with I looked forward to getting married and a new name.

I became a Small.

We decided quickly not to double barrel it.

There was much hilarity when I was nine months pregnant and they called my name in the antenatal clinic.
Small I am not.

A Mrs Christmas who used to live in my road called her daughter Mary - not nice
