I was over at the reception class in our local primary school this week and they were pondering how to dress their 'snowflakes'.
With some thin slightly frosty-looking white lining material donated from my loft and stuck on poundshop snowflake shapes, they look lovely.

I used to scour jumble sales and charity shops for striped dressing gowns to wash ready for shepherds and have been doing the rounds hunting for lambs for this year's tinies to hold.
That's all part of getting ready for Christmas for me, even though I only go to help out, these days.

I must admit though, some of the animal costumes I've seen in the shops are lovely.

That is what I think Joy.

Well those angel costumes I am doing will have better wings ... if I can just find a magnifying glass to see to thread the sewing machine needle. lol

home made is so much better

Homemade v Shop brought

We are putting on a little production for parents/carers.
I was ready with my T towels etc., but some parents volunteered to supply their child’s costume, so we decided to ask parents to supply if possible. These are now arriving ... some lovingly handmade & others shop brought. (Angels with wands?)
I personally think that homemade costumes are part of the charm of these preschool productions, what do others think?
