that some members have decided to use the candle site to have a pop at others.

This particular candle site was set up in November 2007, (yes you lot work out for yourselves why).

Over the last 2 years it's been used to bring comfort to many of our members during times of need, in fact I've lost count of how many times we've had cause to use it.

I'm asking myself why does such a place of comfort to so many have to be used in such an appalling manner? What sort of person can post insults to members next to memories of late relations? This is just totally unacceptable, in fact worse than that, it's just plain sick.

I guess the whole things now in my hands. It's me that has to decided if I'm better off asking for our page to be deleted as I am NOT prepared for it to be used in your wars.

Some of you may now be asking why I feel I have the right to decide the fate of a site used by all members. WELL IT WAS ME THAT SET IT UP AND I'M NOT PUTTING UP WITH THIS

Claire, I'm also saddened and sickened to see it abused in such a vile and evil way. But if you delete it now, you will remove a place of comfort for those who really do need it and draw comfort from it. Please don't let this vile person win and take it away from them.

Don't do anything rash, the posts have been reported, and will be removed soon hopefully. Think about it first.

It's not my site, I only set up our page

The site is run on donations ie it's a charity.

I'm just not prepared a charity to have to deal with all this rubbish as I'm sure they have better things to do with their time.

Claire, you are right to be upset as we all are but the site does mean a lot to so many people, it would be a pity to take it away because of somebody who is so mentally sick and disrespectful. Is there no way that the perpetrators can be traced (by the site owners for example?

Claire, any site is set up with an 'abuse report' facility, which means any site is open to abuse. Whatever you do, will always be open to abusers as well as genuine users. This site is, every site I belong to is.

It's easy to access for those who need it, please leave it there for them. We can still report any abuse if it crops up again, because we're better than that.

i use the site often, to light candles for friends and loved one int here time of need or loss, to loose it would be a great loss,

dont let the small minded minority spoil it for the rest of us who do use it properly xxxx

I would be sad to see it go, Claire... I use it fairly regularly, and would miss it if it wasn't there any more.

There will always be sick morons who will desecrate and defile, because they have no sense of morality or common decency... real world, cyber world... they are out there.

I think we should take it in our stride, and carry on..... what goes around, comes around... I am happy in the confidence that these folk will get their come-uppance, one day.
