Toasting Marzipan

Keep an eye on it so the marzipan doesn't burn...as happened when making a Simnel cake once! |

Dont know if this will help. Found it on net. It makes a trellis of marzipan on top of ready made icing. You could skip the trellising bits and just use the method of toasting. Good luck. |

Claire , sorry but never heard of toasted marzipan on a cake. Normally you would glace your cake with Apricot Jam or Conserve, to make the marzipan stick to it. Perhaps if you googled, you would get a better idea. |
