I HAVE FOUND A DEFINITE MATCH FOR A GT. UNCLE, BUT I NEVER GET ANY RESPONSE FROM THE PERSON WHO IS MY "HOT MATCH". THIS UNCLE IS A BROTHER OF MY GT.GT. GRANDFATHER, SO HE IS NOT THAT DISTANT AN ANCESTER. I HAVE FOUND IT SO FRUSTRATING THAT I NEVER GET A REPLY EVEN THOUGH I HAVE CONTACTED THIS GOLD MEMBER FOUR TIMES. I CAN ONLY PRESUME THAT HE HAS CHANGED HIS EMAIL ADDRESS AND HAS NOT NOTIFIED GR, OR HE IS JUST NOT INTERESTED. HAS ANYONE ELSE EVER EXPERIENCED THIS, AND WHAT CAN YOU DO? MORAG.

Maybe they are no longer a member.

there is nothing you can do but wait until the person has an interest in GR again.

I have been waiting 3 years for a cousin to answer...they have many a clue to my descendants....one day they will come back to GR ( I am sure) and see my messages...until then...I wait with hope and continue with researching other lines :-))

Have one the same ...but I did get a reply back saying he didnt know me !!! Hes my cousin!!!........................we had contact till 22 years ago!!

I KEEP BEING SENT THIS MAN'S RELATIVE AS ONE OF MY HOT MATCHES, AND IT SAYS HE IS A GOLD MEMBER, SO THIS IS WHY I AM ASSUMING THAT HE HAS NOT NOTIFIED GR OF HIS CHANGE OF ADDRESS. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSES TO MY QUESTION THOUGH, SUSAN AND KEMPINASUNHAT.
