I am very disappointed that there are to be no more Kingdom programmes with Stephen Fry. All the props are coming up for auction this week and next, including the Pub sign The Startled Duck and many road signs where the places locally were renamed for the programme.
I used to love to watch the programme and guess the locations, all around Norfolk and the coast.

It's typical a good programe light hearted comedy plus drama scrapped. ITV say they can't afford it but when they give Jordan £350,00 pounds for a few days in the jungle and mega bucks to other stars it does make you cross. TV soon will be all about shows where we phone in.

I too loved the programme, it seems they (whoever they are) find gentle easy to watch stuff on t.v. a threat, yet Dads Army was so popular and still is, so that tells you something. but we have Cranford to look forward to and my all time favourite one Larkrise to Candelford....so happy viewing to one and all..

I really loved the programme too...... gentle and uplifting. I can't believe it cost any more than a lot of other programmes.

I think it is sad that these kind of programmes disappear, as many of you say, gentle easy stuff for a Sunday evening with a wealth of storylines and wonderful scenery (am I biased lol?)
Yet there seem to be a million and one episodes of Midsomer Murders which are more far fetched and silly, and on so often! Would anyone really want to live in that area with someone being bumped off in some odd way every time?

I love watching Stephen Fry - I think he is great.

Talking of Stephens, I found out today something I suspected before, my doctor is very closely blood related to Stephen Poliakoff!
