Member Since: February 2003 Posts: 16 Send Message	Please can anyone help me with my search for the marriage of Alfred Green born 1858/9 in Sheffield, Yorkshire and Caroline (surname unknown) born 1863 in Bethnal Green. They had 6 children: William 1882, Edward 1888, Ada 1889, Emily 1891, Albert 1895 and Henry 1900. All born St. Lukes, Bethnal Green. Alfred's father was John Francis Green, born 20/12/1812 in London. Ideally I am looking for Caroline's maiden name and would be grateful for any information. Many thanks.

	As Caroline was 38 on the 1901 census this would make her birth c1863 so that marriage of 1875 may well be her. Girls could marry at 12 and boys at 14 both with parental consent . My grt grt grandmother was 14 when she married as was her elder sister.
