That bloomin rug WILL stay put!! I have tried everything.... short of said 6 inch nails, lol

Anyone any ideas on how to stop a creeping rug?

Have bought grippers, rug felt stuff, and that rubbery stuff with squared holes... and now tried pouring all the copydex glue over the back of it.... but nope, it doesn't work.

Oh... and the paw prints are hard to get off.... they stay put, ok!! Grrrrr!!!

Is the rug on a carpet or wooden floor. My coconut mat inside the front door is stuck to the laminate flooring with special double sided tape and it hasn't budged an inch.

*sighs.....Daffy, it is part of my morning routine to straighten the rug which runs down the hallway...I swear it has a party while I sleep! And I cannot take it up because there is a bleach stain underneath.. TSK TSK.......bcxx

Hiya all... Jane the rug is on carpet... the carpet is cream *glares at OH* and is supposed to be stainproof... it is a Kosset carpet... and it has stains on it.... can't really afford a new one... this one is just over two years old, so still fairly new.... the rug is essential..... cola stains, plus...... muddy paw prints really do mark it, so the rug is to cover them for a while.... also, hubby's slippers had a black sole, and this has marked the carpet as well, might even get rid of hubby (only joking, honestly!!)....... the rug is fairly large... I have had a couple of smaller, lighter ones, but this, I thought, being heavier, will stay put.... nope!!

It is brown and cream, Stray.... I'd like a red one, too..... lol George, nope, rug has to stay....... carpet will go, eventually!

Muffy, hubby wouldn't let me have the wood block flooring I wanted...... so although I love the look of the carpet, it is just soooooo not practical!!

Wmsl Maggie..... one of our cats just loves to crawl underneath the rugs, lol...... he makes us howl... we have to pretend he isn't there, lol.... hours of amusement and so much better than the rubbish on the telly, lolol

Oh well.... 6 inch nails in the four corners it is!! ;¬))

lol BC.... now that is exactly what I was going to say.... and worse, lol.... my rug has clamboured (sp) all over the sofa by the time we get up...... very close up and cosy it gets, too, lol.... oh, and I can use bleach on this carpet... it doesn't affect it.... and the b****y cola stains and paw prints still stay put, cos bleach doesn't shift them, either, lolol!! xxxx

Have even tried putting ashes on the bleach stain so it would look ok without the darn rug (I read this tip in the internet...or was that for a stain on polished surfaces?) but it didnt work anyway. only made it look dirty.....lol....

I have tried the carpet tape.... but I think I might try it to stick Mr Daff to the rug, lol.... that'll please, him, not!! ;¬)) Thank you Hayley and Joy..... wmsl at Stray... rug is thick, hence the nails.... I did wonder about using my staple gun, lolol ;¬))
