Glad you home safely, take care and try to get well for Christmas!

Been talking to daughter who is due to drive down with little one on Friday for long weekend - said I would keep her up-to-date about weather here, been ghastly all day, raining now but more snow forecast ...

Talk soon - Wassailing J*

SRS I can say that this swine flu really has hit me harder than I thought it would .

Mo it started snowing just as we pulled out of Marylebone at 11.20 really pretty , but halfway here and there was no sign of it, good trip though, it's direct and very comfy on the new trains. Will see you next time :)

Lynda, lol yes the ruby slippers were just by as we came out of the tube ( Dan loves the tube and I think would have happily spent days just trundling back at forth and it's cheap lol) . I just love the mix of buildings and all the unexpected quaint 'glimpses of the past ' you find by accident :)

xx

Come to think of it, you've not been well for a while now. Just make sure that you're not overdoing it. You need to wrap up on the sofa with some hot chocolate or hot toddy and watch an old fashioned black & white film or christmas film.

back from London ( a day early) . Had a lovely time despite still feeling rough and coughing a lot . Dan took me for lunch on my birthday and then later that evening we went on the London Eye, which is lovely at night, then we pottered round the Christmas market below on the south bank, and had French crepes and hot chocolate :) Actually preferred that to the Hyde park 'winter wonderland' .

Listened to carol singers in Trafalgar square, fed the ducks and geese in St James' Park , went to Hamleys, had a look at Harrods and ( me anyway) spent a lot of time generally oohing and ahhhing at the 'sights' ...especially St Pauls at night which is somehow extremely splendid and 'touching'.
We stayed at the YHA St Pauls, which is the old choristers' school...they must have been fit going up and down those staircases lol.
