I was made redundant on Friday, 11th December. "Signed on" for the first time in my life this week ..... what an eye opener that was!

Applied for a job on Monday, received a letter today asking me to an interview next Tuesday.

Please keep your fingers and anything else you feel necessary crossed for me.

xx

Thank you everyone.

Have not been on here much lately. This job interview is really important to me right now. OH had been out of work for nearly 18 months until a couple of weeks ago, then I found out about my redundancy. His new job seemed to come at the right time.

Sadly, we have now split up.... big blow after everything else. Will be glad when this year is over. Hopefully next year will be a better one.

Thanks again. xx

Sorry things haven't been going well for you. Google 'preparing for a job interview' to see some good advice to give you a good chance and smile during the interview even if you are nervous. It will give the impression you are a cheerful person, whether you feel it or not, and cheerful employees fit in best. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Sorry to hear your news Libby, it must knock the confidence to be made redundant....

......and to get something so soon seems a Godsend and I wish you and your family every luck.....

Libby, I know all about the Job Centre as you rightly said what an eyeopener! No privacy and just watch out as they don't pay your travel costs to interviews unless you go more than 40 miles.
Fingers crossed and toes that you will do well in the interview and will have a new job, that would be a great Christmas present. I hope 2010 will be a better year for you and your family.
wishing you good luck
Sue
