I like crosswords and the type where you get three letters and have to fill in the rest youself. I have found them easily enough in the Tesco large supermarkets., Hospital shops often carry them too.

Thanks Island, I had thought of W.H. Smith also, as I want to get a book called Arthur and George, which was on Ann's Greaders list.
However, and it is a big however. As much as I love my trip to W.H. Smith, it might be a abit of a no,no, here for a few days, oweing to the weather forecast they have just given out. I have to go to a town which is a few miles north of here, and through a valley. Don't fancy getting stuck there, even in only an inch or two. But I'm happy to wait until after Christmas. May make a nice drive out on Boxing Day if the weather permits, then home to a lazy day eating cold cuts and nibbles
Thanks again for your suggestion.

When in hospital, I like to do crosswords, the General Knowledge type found in the Times and the Telegraph on Saturdays, to keep my brain active. I get abit fed up reading all the time.
I know at one time you could by them in a book from such as W.H. Smith. Can you still buy them. Not very partial to the other sort or wordsearch etc.
Many Thanks
