Dear All

Hello

The focus of this festival is on family and for hope for the future.

This is a time for extra gentle care and attention to the elderly and carers.

The energy of the season has reached the low point and from now the day light will lengthen as people will look forward to the stirrings of Spring.

On a global scale, this is the time for showing humanity to others
and replacing cynicism and negative thoughts with optimism and practical action.

A peaceful and contented Solstice to you all.

It all sounds good to me Elizabeth .

My eyes have been fixed on the solstice , waiting for the shortest day , when the pendulum will start to swing back towards the lighter times .

My " Green Man " face in my kitchen is decked with holly and he and I both await the time to start the growing cycle again .

Thank you Elizabeth I am always so pleased when we have passed the shortest day and can start looking forward to the new beginnings of spring. I think many people find the short days of light unpleasant.
