I finally have my Christmas decorations. Somebody at GR must have read the message I sent, complaining that I felt hard done by.

Oh yes, Hi Huia, I have them too, now that I am on uk site, usually on za and there weren't any there the other day!

How was Phil when you visited?

As Hylda Baker used to say, Have you been? I say, Have you been?

Huia

so i see!

I'm on the uk site as well.

But I hadn't really noticed their absence, we don't usually put up our own decorations until the weekend before Christmas ....... and we're not putting up any at all this year as we are going away on Tuesday to spend Christmas with OH's sister

.... we're going about 500 miles north of here, and so we will be having a white Christmas, with temperatures probably around -20C

Merry Christmas to you

I received a reply about an hour ago from the support team asking where the decorations are (or should be). I replied that it didnt matter now as I have finally got them.

I visited Phil today Liz. He was awake for once and speaking to me, but his voice is so very quiet and his speech seems a bit slurred, probably as a result of one of the strokes, so I could not make out what he was saying. He has a cut on his eyebrow where he fell yesterday.

I have spent the evening watching the 2nd half of 'Lost in Austen'. Ooooh, that Mr Darcy.........

I must be off to bed soon.

This thread should be titled At Short Last. The decorations were missing when I came on almost 6 hours ago and they are still missing. Ah well, who needs snow and oversized santa hats? And I can see plenty of twinkly stars (better than the ones that GR use) if I go outside at night (unless it is cloudy).
